Condemn CUNY's Antisemitic Resolution

Once again, Jewish and pro-Israel students are being blatantly discriminated against at the City University of New York School of Law. Last Thursday, the school’s student government passed an anti-Israel resolution that unfairly targets groups committed to standing with Jewish students and America’s closest ally in the Middle East, Israel.

This abhorrent resolution labels groups such as Hillel, CAMERA, StandWithUs and the Israel Student Association as being “complicit in war crimes” perpetrated by Israel - realistically understood by the vast majority of Americans as Israel’s efforts to defend civilians against over 3,500 rockets launched by Hamas terrorists.

As a result of this radical resolution, Jewish and pro-Israel students are being ostracized as perpetuating Palestinian suffering due to their advocacy for the only democracy in the region. Additionally, this resolution targets the university’s student exchange programs with Israeli institutions like Haifa University and Tel Aviv University as forms of “propaganda that normalize settler colonialism,” when in reality these initiatives offer students the opportunity to study at prestigious universities within the Jewish people’s indigenous homeland.

Of course it is fitting that this hateful resolution is being initiated by one of the world’s most notorious antisemites, Nerdeen Kiswani, whose track record includes promoting terrorists like Rasmea Odeh and calling for death to America and Israel. If CUNY truly wishes to promote inclusivity and acceptance for all students, this bigoted libel must be rebuked. Urge the university’s administration to denounce this antisemitic resolution without delay.
