Members of the university’s student government have recently caved to these vile demands by endorsing a resolution that urges the school’s leadership to cut ties with companies that do business with the sole democracy in the region.
To justify these demands, radicals from groups such as Students for Justice in Palestine have labeled Israel an apartheid state that discriminates against minorities. This disgusting antisemitic lie trails countless other attempts to label America’s closest ally in the region as the source of all of the world’s problems.
In reality, anyone who has visited Israel can attest to the country’s thriving democracy and inclusivity. With a governing coalition consisting of over eight parties, including six foreign-born ministers and nine female ministers, Israel has demonstrated its commitment to welcoming people of all backgrounds into its governing body. In fact, Israel has recently confirmed several Arab justices, including the first Muslim to serve on the country’s Supreme Court.
Additionally, Israel provides equal opportunities to individuals of all races, ethnicities, and backgrounds. This can be witnessed in areas such as education, where Israel’s world-renowned universities offer exceptional educational opportunities to international students and Israelis, both Jews and Arabs, which account for 54,000 students studying in Israel.
