When speaking before Members of Congress about surging Jew-hatred on campus, Harvard President Claudine Gay failed to stand against chants for the genocide of Jews. Instead, she, like her other depraved fellow university presidents from the University of Pennsylvania and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, backed calls for an intifada, the mass slaughter of Jewish civilians, as not violating harassment policies.
Following this disgusting testimony, President Gay faced immense criticism for her failure to stand with Jewish students at a time when their safety is at the greatest risk it has been in decades. Following Hamas's massacre against Israelis and foreign nationals on October 7, the Jewish community on campuses across the world has faced attacks and threats to wipe Israel and the Jewish people off the map.
Amid this crisis, President Gay has failed to use her position as the leader of one of the world's most esteemed educational institutions to stand for the truth and for the protection of all students, in this case, Jewish students who simply wish to attend their classes without fearing for their lives. By allowing active calls for the mass murder of Jews, President Gay has only incentivized radical antisemites to continue ostracizing and harassing Jewish students.
It is only a matter of time before these calls for violence against Jews on campus become actions. Never again is now. We cannot sit idly by while calls to eradicate the Jewish homeland and murder Jewish students are permitted on campus. President Gay must immediately step down from her position to prevent history from repeating itself.
