Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at Rutgers University is calling for the administration to end a crucial partnership with Tel Aviv University that elevates research between both institutions.
As usual, the radical campus group blatantly ignores the immense impact both universities can contribute through collaborating in the areas of science, technology and medicine, in order to fulfill its sole purpose: vilifying the only democracy in the Middle East.
Members of SJP have not only denounced Rutgers’ decision to work with the world-renowned Israeli university to establish an Innovation & Technology Hub, which will be home to a translational research facility and medical school on the New Brunswick campus. Absurdly, the group has also demanded for the university’s president to apologize for visiting Israel, America’s greatest ally in the region, in order to sign the historic agreement.
Each time we think SJP’s antisemitic attacks can’t get any more outlandish, they regretfully surprise us in the most repugnant way. This time, SJP has demonstrated its desire to smear Israel at the expense of educational opportunities, both for members of the Rutgers community and for students, both Jewish and Arab, in Israel.
Join us in urging Rutgers to stand against SJP’s hateful attacks by continuing its partnership with Tel Aviv University.
