Unilever’s announcement officially terminates the ice cream manufacturer’s boycott campaign against the Jewish state, which unlawfully discriminated against Israeli employees and customers, both Jews and Arabs alike.
As of this morning, Unilever has sold its business interests in Israel to Avi Zinger, the CEO of Ben & Jerry’s Israel branch, who courageously refused to accept demands to stop selling ice cream to Israeli customers. The new arrangement will allow Ben & Jerry’s to be sold under its Hebrew and Arabic names across Israel.
In a statement, Unilever stated that “antisemitism has no place in any society” and ensured that the company has never expressed support for the bigoted BDS movement and “has no intention of changing that position.”
